2013 Scholarship Application

 About the Scholarships:
A $1000 and a $500 scholarship will be awarded to two graduating high school seniors who reside in and receive their education in Washington Township, Hamilton County, Indiana and who have plans of furthering their education. The $1000 Scholarship is provided by Westfield Chamber member support and the $500 Scholarship is sponsored by Busby Eye Care, LLC. To be considered for these awards all essays must be submitted to the Chamber office via email no later than March 15, 2013. Essays must be in a Word document format and accompanied by the student information.
Requirements:
In addition to submitting student information, each candidate must write and submit a 500-word essay.  The essay should focus on the proposal stated on page two of this document. The essay is not intended to be a report on the Westfield Chamber of Commerce, its activities, or its history or the history of chambers of commerce in general.  This essay is a position paper.  It reflects a potential real situation, and your recommendation could be taken into consideration for remedy.  You are expected to create a specific solution, advocate for that solution, and appease both sides of the debate.
